Bassline
A bassline is usually a musical line that a bass guitar, bass synth or any instrument in the lower register plays.
It forms the basics of harmony, usually playing the root note of the chord “above” it. On the other hand, it accents the rhythm and acts as a bridge between rhythmic elements and harmony.
