USING MULTISAMPLES IN PROPELLERHEAD REASON

1. Click right mouse button on the black field. To do this you must remove all default instruments/plugins (except mixer and hardware section), which was loaded by default Reason's program.

2. Create new instrument named "SAMPLER - EMPTY [STEREO]" like it is shown on the picture.

3. Click the marked icon to open SXT (or SF2) programs.

4. Choose desired multisample from the list.

5. You may use ADSR evenlope to change settings of the sound. This way you may easy change release of sound.

You can also set filter cutoff (FREQ) and resonance. Remeber that Reason has the better sounding filters when creating techno/trance.

You must know also that package contains few SXT presets for each multisample. When using those SXT presets you may easy change filter cutoff by tweaking MODULATION WHEEL on your external MIDI keyboard..

6. Now you can create your own melodies, using pencil in the PIANO ROLL section, or record it using EXTERNAL MIDI KEYBOARD.

To activate PIANO ROLL-style edit in sequencer window, you have to click the marked icon on the top-left.
