Many terms for the hardest genre

Gabber is one of the terms for the hardest genre in electronic music. Other terms like hardcore, gabba, speedcore or frenchcore all refer to the same thing. Fast and especially hard techno tracks that have their origin in the Netherlands. And all these genres are produced with hard Gabber samples.

With 200 BPM and more the party goes off here correctly. Stars like Neophyte, Paul Elstak, Lady Dana, Chosen Few, DJ Dano, The Prophet, DJ Luna or Promo have been shaping the Gabber landscape since the early 90s. At parties like Thunderdome or Defqon they party hard.

Legendary Record Label

In the Gabber and Hardcore-Techno area some legendary labels have been established. They stand for cult tracks with the perfect use of gabber samples. First and foremost Rotterdam Records, founded by Paul Elstak in 1992. But also labels like Mokum Records, ID&T, The Third Movement, Neophyte Records, Industrial Strength Records by Lenny Dee based in New York, Masters of Hardcore or Ruffnek Records are among the legends in the record label field.
