About Your Instructor

Xenflex, whose real name is Luke, is the founder of BassGorilla.com. He has successfully released music on Adapted Records, reaching the top 20 in the Glitch Hop category on BeatPort. Additionally, his music has been featured on Maxxed Music and Hopskotch Records. He has received support from renowned entities such as The Glitch Shop, Ni12, GlitchHop.net, and esteemed producers like Stickybuds, Tantric Decks, among many others.

Luke’s introduction to electronic music occurred in 1996 when he discovered DJ Shadow’s album, “Endtroducing.” This encounter inspired him to change his path and at the age of 16, he acquired his first Akai sampler, investing all of his savings into crate digging for old records to sample and manipulate.

After a brief period using Propellerhead Reason, Luke was introduced to Ableton Live version 1.0 in 2001 and has exclusively used this digital audio workstation ever since.

Having recorded over 500 tutorial videos using Ableton Live, Luke has extensive experience and knowledge in electronic music production. He has also conducted numerous live web classes on the subject since the inception of BassGorilla.com.
